Dr Geraldine Honan B.D.S

Dr. Geraldine Honan qualified from Cardiff dental school in 1990. She spent one year on an vocational dental training scheme before returning to Ireland where she worked with children for 4 years. It was then she returned to Navan to take over her fathers (Colm Irwin) dental practice. Indeed, dentistry runs in the family as her brother Conor Irwin is a dentist in Ratoath.

Since she took over from her Father she has continued to run a ‘patient-centred’, family practice where the individual needs of each patient are catered for.

Geraldine is particularily good with nervous patients and runs an efficient, friendly relaxed practice catering for all ages. She is a recognised trainer on the irish Vocational Dental Training scheme.

Dr. Jennifer Kearney, B.D.S. N.U.I, MFD, DChDent(Perio),FFD RCSI.

The practice has recently been joined by Dr. Jennifer Kearney, Periodontist.

Dr Jennifer Kearney graduated with honours from Cork University Dental School and Hospital in 2004.  She subsequently worked in general practice in both the UK and Ireland before taking a position as a Senior House Officer in the Dublin Dental School and Hospital.  During this time she was awarded membership of the Faculty of Dentistry in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.  Dr Kearney then commenced her specialist training (DChDent) in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry and graduated with first class honours in 2010.  Her doctoral research involved the evaluation of short dental implants, including patient centred outcomes.  She was awarded fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2010 and is also accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology.

Dr Kearney provides all aspects of periodontal and implant therapy including:

  • Surgical and non-surgical root debridement
  • Periodontal regeneration (treatment of periodontal defects)
  • Soft tissue grafting (treatment of gingival recession)
  • Ridge augmentation (hard and soft tissue)
  • Implant placement and bone grafting.

Dr. Laura Loughnane B.Dent.Sc.

Laura qualified from the Dublin Dental Hospital in 2008. She successfully completed a years postgraduate vocational dental  training and has worked in private practice since.

Dr. Katie Burke B.Dent.Sc

Rachel joined the practice in August 2010 and enjoys every part of general practice.

Sandra Clarke: Hygienist

The practice hygienist is Sandra Clarke who provides detailed  oral hygiene treatment and oral hygiene instruction.
